MindScapability™
Background Despite long held assumptions that people with high IQs will naturally accomplish more in life - people with higher levels of EQ have been proven to achieve significantly more. Research, such as that carried out by business guru/author Daniel Goleman and eminent psychologist Howard Gardner, has shown that a person's Emotional Intelligence Quotient (EQ) is a greater predictor of their overall success than his or her Intellectual Intelligence Quotient (IQ) alone. Further research by authors such as Dana Zohar and Ian Marshall has shown that when high levels of EQ are being combined with the Spiritual Intelligence Quotient (SQ) people operate from a subconscious level with a far greater overall 'intuitive' ability. "Intuition is the immediate and complete apprehension of a situation by the mind without the intervention of any conscious reasoning process" Relevance In order to create far-reaching development pathways for our clients, we needed to define a methodology that would identify and measure, with accuracy, emotional intelligence and ultimately intuitive ability. Which would then lead to a greater understanding of an individuals true capabilities and development areas, across a far-wider spectrum of functions or roles. In the past we used many different profiling tools to measure an individual's capability in a given situation, or against a particular framework. However, what we lacked was the genuine depth of evidence to really understand how an individual will actually 'behave intuitively' in a real-life business situation. Difference After several years of development, we created MindScapability which is a truly unique and demonstrable methodology that combines; evidence based assessment with intuitive questioning, advanced coaching and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques. MindScapability actually assess evidence based responses, against 58 identifiable EQ competencies (12x high-level and 46x sub-level), which are then in turn benchmarked against the six levels of capability. Resulting in an absolute measure between Incongruence and Mastery across a matrix of 348 fields. Results We benchmarked these unique levels of capability against one hundred business leaders across many different fields of discipline and expertise. We have also validated the results of MindScapability with several of our global clients and business associates with outstanding results. Many of these organisations have already built our unique approach and methodology into their talent development, leadership development, and indeed, have used it for individual team development and 1:1 executive coaching interventions.
