Executive Coaching
Codes of Practice
All of Staged Coaching Coaches
subscribe to and are governed by the very stringent codes of practice laid down
by the Institute of Executive Master Coaches (IoEMC) and adhere to the following
standards as part of their contractual obligation with Staged Coaching:

To
safeguard the health, safety and general wellbeing of both themselves and
their clients in all situations and at all times.

To use
their ability to ascertain and determine whether their experience is
appropriate to the clients exacting needs and requirements. In such cases
where it is not, Coaches are required to refer clients to other ‘professional
services’ such as specifically experienced Coaches, Professional Counsellors,
Qualified Psychologists, Medical Practitioners or other Specialist Service or
Care Providers and Practitioners. (we do maintain a list of these
professionals)

All
Coaches are responsible for ensuring that clients are fully informed of the
coaching contract formed between them and the Executive Coach which
must include: confidentiality, frequency of sessions, duration of each
session, terms and conditions of business, limits and proportions of the
coaching remit to also include any ‘off limit' areas within sessions, the time
scales involved as well as detailing the actual role of the Executive Coach,
prior to during or at the initial session.

All
claims made by the Executive Coach should be honest; reliable accurate and
consistent with maintaining the high standards and reputation of Staged
Coaching & the Institute Executive Master Coaches and its affiliated
organisations and members.

Not to
recommend a course of action to any client that may result in a claim in any
form of negligence on either the part of the Client, the client’s employers or
the clients subordinates under the governing laws of the country of residency.

Coaches
are required to be frank, open and willing to respond to their Client’s
requests for information about the methodologies, techniques, tools and ways
in which the coaching process will be conducted. This will be done both prior
to and during any contract agreement or during the full term of the contract.

Coaches
will be sensitive in all areas of race, religion, gender, gender-identity,
sexual orientation, disability and age. We aim to continuously promote
equality and diversity in all situations

Coaches
must respect the Client’s right to terminate a coaching assignment at any
point during the coaching process.
-
All
Executive Coaches are required to maintain appropriate records of their work
with Clients, ensuring that any such records are accurate and that reasonable
security precautions are taken to protect against third party disclosure.

Attention will be given to the Clients rights under current legislation, e.g.
the data protection act.

Coaches
are required to monitor the quality and professionalism of their work and to
seek regular feedback from Clients, Staged Coaching Executive, and IoEMC
Executive Council or other Senior Level coaches operating at a similar level,
as and when appropriate. (Mentoring and buddy programmes are actively
encouraged)

Executive Coaches are expected to receive regular and ongoing consultative
support on their work from the CEO of Staged Coaching and/or a qualified
member of the IoEMC Executive Council.

Continuing professional Development:
• Full IoEMC accredited members will undertake a minimum of 60 hours of
professional development in theory and practice during the course of each 12
month period
• Associate Members of the IoEMC will be expected to undertake a minimum
of 100 hours of professional development in theory and practice during the
course of each 12 month period

Coaches
will ensure that they keep up to date and informed of any statutory or legal
requirements that may arise which may affect their work in any way.

All
Associate Coaches are required to have current Professional
Indemnity/Liability Insurance (min £50,000 cover for Junior Level Associates &
£100,000 cover for Senior Level Associates

All
Associate Coaches will hold adequate Public Liability Insurance if working
from their own premises and or working with clients on an off-site basis
(min.£100,000 of cover)

Coaches
will consider the impact of any dual relationships or conflict of interests
they may have with regards to their clients and/or any sponsoring
organisations or people.

Coaches
agree to uphold the principles inculcated in the IoEMC Constitution, Code of
ethics and policies at all times.

The
IoEMC requires that all its members and membership organisations (Staged
Coaching) maintain a professional and high level quality of service to its
clients and does not bring the good name of the Institute or its membership
into disrepute.
